Job Title: Project Architect - Level III
Position Location: Boston
Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire
Degree Required:  Bachelor’s or Master's degree of Architecture


We are seeking an experienced licensed architect having 6-10+ years of professional experience with major project responsibility. Plans and develops medium to large scale projects with many complexities, executes and coordinates projects, and may oversee a large staff of architects and technicians.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents using Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and BIM regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time.
  • Develop and maintain BIM models, processes, and workflows.
  • Coordinate work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure project deliverables are integrated and support the design concept and the project’s performance goals.
  • Direct activities of staff engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents, providing technical guidance and solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges while preserving the design intent.
  • Facilitate project team meetings to share pertinent project information, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
  • Research and apply federal, state, and local building codes, planning and zoning regulations, and standard design practices to project; access code requirements to ensure project meets both health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee preparation of fully coordinated contract documents for building contractor.
  • Support construction administration, reviewing submittals and RFIs, and prepare sketches as needed.
  • Represent design intent on construction site to ensure builder compliance with design specifications and advise on design corrections.
  • Administer construction contracts.
  • Represent clients in obtaining bids or awarding construction contracts.


Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Technical / Software skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, Newforma, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up or alternative rendering programs.
